Oh, where do I even start with the beautiful and sweet Ferguson family?!
Several years ago, Miayan reached out to me to capture their pregnancy announcement for their first baby, Ember. Since then, I’ve had the absolute honor of photographing Ember’s newborn and family photos, their second baby announcement, and now, baby Miles’ newborn session. Watching this sweet family grow and being a part of these special moments has truly meant the world to me!
We took Miles’ newborn and family photos in the spring, splitting the session between a beautiful Northern Michigan golf course and their home. It was the perfect combination—especially on such a gorgeous day! Some of the sweetest moments were captured in what was once Ember’s nursery and is now Miles’ nursery, too. I love little sentimental details like that—they make each session so meaningful.
I couldn’t be happier to have captured these memories for such an amazing family—and even more grateful to now call them friends.
Watching families grow and capturing these sweet, fleeting moments is something I’ll never take for granted. There’s just something so special about looking back at photos and seeing how much love and joy has filled the years.

When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?
The best time for a newborn photography session is within the first two weeks after birth, while babies are still super sleepy and snuggly. That said, I’ve captured beautiful newborn sessions beyond that window, too!
Where do newborn sessions take place?
I offer both in-home newborn sessions and outdoor family sessions in Northern Michigan (weather permitting!). Many families love the comfort of capturing these sweet moments in their own home, especially in the nursery or a cozy space that holds meaning.
What should we wear for our newborn session?
Soft, neutral colors and light fabrics photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your baby. Comfortable, cozy outfits that reflect your family’s style are always a great choice! I’m happy to help with outfit guidance, too.
Can siblings be included in the session?
Absolutely! I love capturing big siblings meeting their baby brother or sister, snuggles with mom and dad, and the whole family together. These are the moments you’ll cherish forever!
