Patrick & Christy's Winter Wedding at Greystone Weddings | Near Traverse City, Michigan

Bride and groom at their winter wedding at Greystone Weddings near Traverse City, Michigan, surrounded by snowy Northern Michigan landscapes.

Patrick and Christy’s romantic winter wedding at Greystone Weddings near Traverse City, Michigan. Captured in the snowy Northern Michigan landscape, their wedding day featured breathtaking views, cozy details, and the magic of a winter celebration at one of the region’s most stunning venues.

Christy & Patrick’s winter wedding at Greystone Weddings near Traverse City, Michigan, was nothing short of magical! Leading up to their big day, we had plenty of snowy weather—including two back-to-back snow days for my kids! But on the morning of their wedding, the sun came out, and it turned into the most beautiful winter day, making for the perfect Northern Michigan wedding celebration.

I spent the morning with Christy, her closest friends, and both her and Patrick’s moms. They were all so sweet and welcoming, and the energy in the room was already filled with so much excitement. When Christy handed me her wedding details, I was instantly in awe—her pearl accents and stunning bridal shoes were absolutely gorgeous and added the perfect elegant touch to her winter wedding style.

Their ceremony inside the Chapel at Greystone was breathtaking. One of my favorite details? The owner, who was so kind and helpful, shared that the chapel’s glass windows were hand-blown in the 1800s—such a unique and meaningful detail that made the space feel even more special.

They ended the night surrounded by family and friends, celebrating with so much love, laughter, and joy. It was so clear how close-knit their group was, and the energy in the room was just amazing.

I feel so honored to have been a part of their Greystone Weddings winter wedding—a day filled with beauty, joy, and the magic of a Northern Michigan winter.

What are the best spots for wedding photos at Greystone in the winter?

Some of my favorite spots include:

  • The Chapel at Greystone with its beautiful historic windows.

  • The snow-covered trees for dreamy outdoor portraits.

  • The venue’s rustic and elegant interiors, perfect for cozy couple’s photos.

What should couples wear for outdoor winter wedding portraits?

  • Brides: Consider a stylish faux-fur wrap or shawl to stay warm!
