Extended family sessions are designed to capture a mix of group photos, smaller family units, and candid moments. I’ll guide you through a combination of posed and natural shots to make sure everyone looks great while keeping the experience fun and relaxed!
How long does an extended family session last?
These sessions typically last 45-60 minutes, depending on the size of your group. This gives us enough time to capture different groupings while keeping little ones engaged.
What should we wear for our extended family session?
Coordinating (but not matching) outfits work best! Neutral tones, soft colors, and avoiding busy patterns help create timeless photos. I recommend selecting 3-4 complementary colors and mixing textures for a cohesive look. If you need help, I’m happy to provide wardrobe guidance!
What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Empire Beach is beautiful, but Michigan weather can be unpredictable! If the forecast looks concerning, I’ll be in touch to discuss rescheduling or alternative options to ensure you still get gorgeous photos.
Can we bring props or special items?
Absolutely! If you have a family heirloom, blanket, or a fun idea that’s meaningful to your family, bring it along!
How many photos will we receive?
You’ll receive a fully edited gallery with a mix of group shots, candid moments, and smaller family pairings. The number of final images varies depending on your session, but I always deliver plenty of variety!
